Data snippet
In the past two quarters or so, 26 agtech companies have received funding. Indonesia-based eFishery has secured the largest round at $200 million led by 42XFund, followed by Italy-based Planet Farms with $40 million, Orbem with $32 million led by 83North and CH4 Global with $29 million led by DCVC.
Of those 26, eight were Series A rounds, two Series B rounds, one each C and D, as well as seven Seed rounds.
I just got a pitch from an early-stage venture firm that says it's expanding as "many VC firms are doing lay offs." Do we think this is true? I've heard of platform teams being reduced, but nothing on the investment side of the house.
